Our Story

TriPark CrossFit is home to some of the worlds best trainers. We take pride in making fitness fun and enjoyable while delivering life lasting fitness results. We started with a handful of members and doing workouts in the local parks. By word of mouth and delivering fitness results we have organically grown since then. Together we have created a safe, challenging, optimistic, enthusiastic, fun, fulfilling, and cutting edge fitness environment.

Our athletes are the sole supporting structure of our facility. We know all our athletes names, and greet them by their first name every time they walk through our doors. We pride ourselves on creating an environment where first time CrossFitters are welcomed within our facility. We make decisions based on the wants and needs of our athletes. We are leaders to our athletes, and within the Sacramento community. We recognize our athletes goals, and we help them achieve those goals with pride and satisfaction. We know that everyone loves to feel special, and we make people feel special when they leave our facility.

I enjoy nothing more than talking health and fitness, and helping someone become the best version of him/herself. That is why I brought TriPark CrossFit to this community! Whether you are trying be a competitive athlete, stay in shape, or taking the first step to live a healthier life, I want to hear about it, help you accomplish your goals and celebrate in the end! Fitness has always played a huge role in my life. It was during the stress of undergraduate and graduate programs that I began to appreciate not only the physical but also the mental benefits from working out. Physical activity became my medicine for stress and hardship. I lifted weights when I felt weak or frustrated, and would run to clear my mind after a long day or just before a final exam. I stumbled upon CrossFit in May 2012, while looking for a more efficient way to work out while I was in law school. CrossFit was exactly what I needed: (1) a planned workout, (2) activity that made me physically stronger, and (3) the ability to clear my mind and relieve stress. However, CrossFit brought so much more to my life that I didn’t expect: (1) a better understanding and appreciation of what our bodies are capable of doing, (2) how to properly move outside the gym, and (3) a worldwide community and long lasting friendships. I started coaching CrossFit in 2013 and have helped countless friends, family and strangers become healthy and functionally fit through the CrossFit methodology, and have trained myself and others to be competitive using the same approach. It is truly one of the most rewarding feelings celebrating along side out athletes as they tackle fitness and life goals!

I’ve been an athlete for as long as I can remember. Growing up in an athletic family, the competition spirit was ingrained within me from a very young age. I carried this mentality into collegiate athletics where I spent most of my time as a rower for Sacramento State. During that time, I learned the effort that it took to stay on track mentally, physically, and nutritionally to perform the very best that I could day in and day out. I genuinely love being a part of a team with a common goal. After college, I became a typical gym-goer who would workout on a treadmill and then hop onto a machine to bust out the infamous 3 sets of 10… It did not work for me! I became an avid cyclist, competing annually in cyclocross races, but I really missed being a part of a team. I knew in order to stay as active as I wanted to be, I had to find a program that had the structure that I needed and the teamwork I craved. I found CrossFit in 2013 and immediately fell in love- it took the guess-work out of my workouts and pushed me to do things I had not done before in my athletic career. I found I could be competitive with myself and push myself into being better than I was the day before. CrossFit also fulfilled my love of working with a close-knit team toward a common goal. As a member of the TriPark coaching team, I truly enjoy getting as many people as I can to try CrossFit and letting it be an all-inclusive community for people at all fitness levels.

Her CrossFit journey started in a friend’s garage in 2008. She was instantly hooked. It was everything she loved about athletics and sports in general– endurance, technicality, challenge, teamwork, support, encouragement, like minded people in one room cheering each other on, high fiving and celebrating. A year later she joined a Crossfit box and her passion for the sport grew. She met lifelong friends, she pushed herself in team competitions and enjoyed every minute of it. She set goals, and saw that through hard work, determination and consistency, achieving them was possible! Bekki believes that fitness is more than just an hour at the gym. It’s a healthy mentality, it’s the food we eat, it’s the people we surround ourselves with, looking forward to seeing them for that hour, and helping each other push themselves. Crossfit provides a welcoming environment of all ages and efforts. It’s a family that you don’t even know you have yet. Bekki has a genuine love for the sport and as a coach she has a passion for helping people become the best version of themselves by motivating, encouraging and inspiring others to set goals and celebrate achievements! Bekki is down to earth, up for anything at any time, enjoys the company of others and is ready for adventure!

My name is Angelica and I started my running adventure in 2008, by running my first 10k. But my love for running began when I started to train for the Los Angeles Marathon, my first full marathon. I established amazing friendships during the many hours and many miles. I had such an amazing experience that I wanted to share my experience and knowledge. In 2014 I became a running coach and have been loving every minute of it since then. In 2018 I began coaching the TriPark endurance program which has been not only fun but rewarding to see all the athletes excel. Since I have begun running I have completed over 15 half marathons and 3 full marathons.

In my youth I chased all the extreme sports I could – skateboarding, BMX riding, hockey and freestyle skiing. In high school, Cross Country Ski racing and Telemark skiing took up all my free time and gave me the drive to improve myself physically – which led to my enlistment into the United States Marine Corps. In my 13 years as a Marine, I have discovered that maintaining a high peak of mental and physical readiness has honed my desire to better myself daily. Early on in my career, I picked up Rugby in South Africa, and later played with the Marines where powerlifting/sprints took precedence. Following that I joined a local hockey league and focused on my explosive power and flexibility. In May of 2011, a good friend of mine, Brian Collins who was training to join the Navy and pursue a career in the SEALs, told me about his new training regimen – CrossFit. Being the highly competitive and confident Marine that I was, I thought “Psshh, how hard could it be?” I was lapped in a 3 round workout by my friend who still had enough energy to chide me as I fought to complete the challenge he had lain before me. After that, I was hooked. 5 years later, I decided I wanted to be that “Brian Collins” to others – and set a challenge for others to partake in. I now have a way to pursue that CrossFit dream at TriPark.

It took me a little while to figure out that CrossFit was for me, but fitness and nutrition have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up playing sports, but after nursing school, I realized that being “too busy for the gym” and not being engaged in a competitive athletic endeavor had led to some less than healthy habits and it was apparent in both my physical and mental health. Shortly after, I became a total gym nut and began doing my own research on nutrition and overall health. People around me began to notice the change and a close friend introduced me to CrossFit in 2017. I took to it like a fish to water and felt like I had finally found the missing piece of fitness that I had been looking for. CrossFit offered a platform where I was constantly engaged in workouts I had never done before, I was learning movements that required effort and patience on my part, and had a whole gang of new friends to share my successes with. It was amazing to me how a community of strangers seemed to be so invested in my success in the gym, and how I suddenly felt exactly the same about them. I soon learned that this is one of the most foundational parts of the CrossFit Community and it is probably the main reason I stuck with it and continued to grow my understanding and appreciation of the methodology. I began competing in small local competitions within a year of my first CrossFit membership and then decided that I wanted to know more and do more and so I received my CFL1 and PNL1 in 2019. My coaching interests are mostly in functional fitness and good body mechanics and movement throughout the lifespan, with complimentary nutritional guidance as a method for disease and injury prevention, and overall good health. Through my research and experience, the stand out factor for fitness success has always been accountability through a shared community, and when I found TriPark, it was evident that this was just the gym for my family. Seeing the one on one training, guidance and individualized coaching that TriPark offers, and the confidence and results it gives our members, I knew I was in my new gym home. Witnessing what CrossFit gives to its dedicated athletes is one of the most rewarding parts of coaching and it’s why I love TriPark so much!
